News 8’s Gina Glaros joins Patty and Carla Knapp, with the Indiana State Museum, to talk about “Cats & Dogs, the Exhibition,” continuing through Sept. 27. Knapp says the interactive exhibit is family-friendly, featuring tests like a dog agility course or a jump challenge where guests see if they can jump as high as a house cat. Looks like fun!

KJ, our Kitty Correspondent, shares the sad news that her celebrity cat, Grayson, has passed away. He leaves a strong legacy through a new nonprofit corporation, The Grayson Foundation, which funds research, covers care, and helps cats find new homes. Patty talks to KJ about this special boy. Mary McDermott Lang, Patty’s former colleague at WISH-TV, now lives in the country where she and her husband have llamas, a big draw for visiting neighborhood kids. She also talks about Jake, her handsome rescue Lab from Love of Labs, and advises people to know the breed before they get such an energetic dog. Bella, a 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier from Red Key, Indiana, represented the Hoosier State in the national Pet Lover's Choice Awards, a photo contest featuring pets from every state. Her owner, Carolyn Pope, talks to Patty, WISH-TV’s Pam Elliot and Grateful Rescue owner Pamela Terhune about the event. Bella is a Grateful Rescue pup! Brandy Schroeder takes in all kinds of animals who have no home at 6th Day Farm. Half of her 150 animals are rescues, which she takes on the road to events to educate people about the purpose and importance of animals. Renee Jameson has the story. The Basset Hound is a friendly, low-slung hound from France known for its sad expression, long ears, and powerful sense of smell. They stand under 15 inches tall but weigh 40 to 65 pounds.
