Chow Chow breed - are they a good family fit?

The Chow Chow is a spitz-type of dog breed originally from Northern China. It’s a sturdily built dog with a broad skull and small, triangular, erect ears with rounded tips. Chow Chows can be excellent family dogs if properly trained and socialized. They are loyal and protective but also can be independent and reserved, especially with strangers. Is this the dog for you?
