He truly loved everybody he met.
My Stewie crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The big boy hadn’t been feeling well over the last couple of months and it reached a point where Wednesday morning he could no longer walk at all. I am grateful to Noah’s Animals Hospitals and my friend Tom Dock for coming to my house and helping him to go to sleep. It was a very quiet and peaceful transition.
Stewie was a Bernese Mountain Dog from a responsible breeder in Lithopolis, Ohio. A responsible breeder is one who lets you meet the mom dog, lets you see where the puppy was born and also gives you full health records. I visited Jeannie Whitton-Smith four times before deciding to adopt one of her beautiful puppies.
As a pet lover, you know the hole in my heart is huge. But I’m trying to focus on all of the smiles that he gave to everyone who knew him or saw him on TV. I am comforted now by my three rescues… My Maltese dog named Harry, my IndyHumane rescue kitty Timber and my former feral cat Freddy. It’s funny, but I actually know that they are missing him too. The house is very quiet.

I hope you enjoy playing basketball stars as much as I enjoyed creating it!
I cried when I saw this mornings episode of Pet Pals TV and learned of Stewie's passing. I watch Pet Pals every Saturday morning and felt great comfort watching Stewie and Patty together every week. My prayers from St Francis of Assisi to you Patty. 🙏 we will miss you Stewie. -Kelly Smith- Fort Wayne. IN
Forgot to say, below: What great photos of Stewie (and you)!!! Thank you for sharing them---and so many of them----with all of us!!!
I cried when I read this! Stewie's personality came right through the screen, so, along with what yiu told us all about him, I felt like I knew him.
He helped sooooo many people of all ages! Thank you so much, Patty, for sharing him with all of us!!!!! What a huge loss!!! (No pun intended.) Seeing him always made me smile.
I'm so glad he made it to the "Gift from God" age...but I still wish you could have had him longer---as long as he felt well enough to keep going down here instead of in Heaven. But I'm SO glad to hear you asked your buddy Tom to came to your home and to be the one t…
Stewie was a gentle giant who was always so great around my littles. He would lean on your legs and make you feel like the most special person in the room. I’m going to miss that sweet guy.
