Grateful Rescue founder Pamela Terhune joined WISH-TV's Patty Spitler on the Midday News to share word that Saul the senior dog has passed away.
Saul was a very special senior dog rescued by Grateful Rescue and Sanctuary in Muncie, Indiana. When he first came to the rescue he couldn’t even lift his head. Saul had issues with his spinal cord, among other health issues.
"When we were getting him up for his appointment at VCA, he was in great distress and passed quickly in my arms, as I was frantically rocking him and encouraging him to wake up, until I realized he wasn’t going to. Mike even tried CPR and chest compressions. Our old man baby was gone.", said Pamela Terhune, Grateful Rescue Founder and President.
Saul was a popular little pup on social media. Pamela and her volunteers shared numerous photos and videos showing Saul's progress. He even appeared on Pet Pals TV segments on WISH-TV with Patty Spitler.
"We are beyond grateful to all who loved, supported and took care of Saul. Dr. Calvert at Westview Animal Clinic and her wonderful staff who loved him as much as we did. All of you who sent love, supplies, and words that cheered him on and prayed for Saul. He felt it.
