Mutt Strut returns April 5 in Downtown Indy

Registered participants get a goodie bag, T-shirt, and lots of exercise!

Indianapolis – Get ready to lace up your running shoes and leash up your pups — Mutt Strut 2025 is back!

IndyHumane’s signature fundraising event returns to Celebration Plaza at White River State Park on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Since 2004, Mutt Strut has brought the community together to raise funds for animal welfare in Central Indiana.

This year’s event features a competitive 5K race and a 1K fun run, welcoming participants of all age and their four-legged friends! Beyond the races, families can enjoy the Family Fun Zone and cheer on the tiny but mighty contestants in the Dachshund Derby.  

All registered participants will receive a Mutt Strut T-shirt, a swag bag filled with goodies, and a drink ticket. Competitive 5K runners will also receive a commemorative finisher medal.

Lead your pack to victory in our team fundraising challenge to have your pup featured on next year’s Mutt Strut logo as our “Top Dog”! Prizes will be awarded to the top individual and the top pack fundraisers.
