Save a life and bring some love into your heart and home during national “Adopt a Senior Pet Month” this November.

Many senior dogs are waiting in shelters right now, including here at IndyHumane, hoping you will give them the second chance they deserve.

What you see is what you get with a senior dog. Older dogs have just as much love to give, are easier to live with than puppies, and are almost always housetrained.

Yet, they are often overlooked by potential adopters.

During “Adopt a Senior Pet Month,” many animal shelters waive or reduce adoption fees. To find your new best friend, visit IndyHumane.org. We have many wonderful older dogs ready to go home with you right now.

We are able to offer reduced adoption fees thanks to a grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization, a national nonprofit dedicated to saving older dogs, envisions a world where every senior dog thrives and no old dog dies alone and afraid.
