Here's an easy recipe for Pumpkin Dog Treats

Pet Pals TV's Shannon Cagle knows how to make her dog, Winston, happy. She whips up these delicious peanut butter and pumpkin treats for him! Recently, she took over Patty Spitler's kitchen and made some for Stewie. Here, she shares her recipe so you can make your pups happy, too! Ingredients 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (not refined white flour) 2 large eggs 1/2 cup canned pumpkin (use the rest for people treats!) 2 tablespoons peanut butter 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) Place parchment paper on baking sheet for easy cleanup Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, using a strong fork. The dough will be very stiff. Add a little water to make it more workable, but it should be dry and tough. Choose your method for creating shapes -- if making for a small dog, make small pieces: Make a 1/2 inch roll of the dough and cut into 1/2 inch discs Pinch off pieces of the dough to roll into flattened 1/2 inch rounds Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to 1/2 inch and use cookie cutters to make shapes Form custom dog bone shapes by hand Place on parchment paper and bake in preheated oven about 40 minutes until hard
